This has been the year of neutral eyes, bright lips and my usual blushapalooza. In no particular order:
1. MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
A neutral light beige cream eyeshadow. I apply this with my finger pretty much every day to make me look a bit more polished without having to actually get an eyeshadow brush out.
2. MAC Eyeshadow Quad in Caviar Dreams
If I do get an eyeshadow brush out, it’s usually to apply Brulee (neutral light beige) over my eyelid and maybe Retrospeck (bleached blonde) in the inner corner of my eye.
3. NARS Single Eyeshadow in Edie
The light, neutral beige eyeshadow I use when I’m not using Brulee. Yeah, I like to mix it up by wearing another barely imperceptible eyeshadow but with this time with shimmer. Sigh.
4. BB Creams (Pictured: Tony Moly Expert Triple BB Cream)
This year I went from wearing full-coverage, long-wearing foundations every day to wearing BB creams most of the time. Has my skin got better? …Not at all, really (a combination of hormones and lack of perseverance) but I’m just going with it.
5. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Warm Ivory
My favourite under-eye concealer and a beauty blogger sweetheart. Creamy (the clue is in the name), full-coverage and brightening. As you can see I’ve used up every last molecule.
Be still my beating heart. Clean, bright, pink, French.
7. Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Woppin’ Watermelon *
A splendid waxy lip balm with a pop of light, clean neutral pink in cute packaging. My go-to when I don’t know what colour to wear.
8. Benefit Watt’s Up! Illuminating Soft Focus Highlighter *
Or MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I cannot believe that before this year, I’d never used or owned a highlighter. Now they are like glittery crack to me.
9. MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty
Yellow pink with gold pearl. The warm, lolly pink blush of my dreams. I recently met a lovely reader who said “Oh, I read your blog… A lot of blush.” Truer words were never spoken.
10. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
Light peach with a hint of pink and minimal gold shimmer. My favourite blush of the year. Perfect over MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special (HA! I managed to sneak an extra blush onto the list!).
Light, matte peach pink. The perfect blush middle ground: pinker than Luminoso and more peach than Dainty.
Honourable mentions:
Favourite hair product: VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler *
Favourite lip balm: Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Natural Mint & Shea Butter
Favourite skincare product: Steamcream Steamcream *
Favourite fragrance: The Morbid The Merrier EDP in Brom

They are fantastic. I've got Chunky Cherry too & love them both
I like your range of neutral eyeshadows

I've been curious about the Clinique Chubby Sticks. Would you say they're like a tinted lip balm? i.e. just as moisturising as a lip balm with a hint of colour?

Haha thanks
They are moisturizing like a lip balm but quite tinted, more than you might expect. X
Great list!! Schiap looks so gorgeous. I'm liking light(er) eyeshadows at the moment too. Great for summer!

I loved reading yours too! I had a giggle at your idea of choosing products from 11 categories – I totally thought about that too, and ended up doing "honourable mentions" which is totally cheating as well!
